UX Research and Design
Whether we’re launching an innovation or iterating an established product, a good design process is key. This involves conducting thorough user research, rapid design, user testing, and a genuine understanding of the needs of the people we aim to serve.
We believe in intuitive design. We run research and testing to inform and improve user journeys. We create wireframes and clickable prototypes which can be tested before being transformed into digital tools. Our designs tend to be simple, prioritising ease of use over flashiness.

Website and Campaign Tools
We develop digital campaign tools and websites that enable our clients to make a positive impact in the world. We specialise in custom WordPress builds and integrations. We also offer support and maintenance.
We help our clients integrate digital product development into their organisational strategy and work with them to maximise the value of their budgets. This enables them to prioritise features and develop effective product ownership skills.
Impactful design
Our websites have helped nearly a million users take action on changes to schools and NHS funding, surfaced anti-corruption research for journalists, and supported campaigning organisations in their pursuit of social justice.
Campaign tools
Outlandish isn’t just a team of tech geeks. We are campaigners in our own right. Each and every one of us works with Outlandish because we are deeply committed to social and environmental justice, both within and outside of our work. You’re very likely to catch one of us at a demo on any given weekend!
Our campaign tools mobilise our clients’ supporters, secure pledges from politicians, and create political change. Hey, we even helped to overthrow a government once (you’ll have to set up a meeting to find out which one).

Co-operative Development and Support
We’re big into co-ops. We’re a worker co-operative, which means that our members own us, and the profits we generate are invested in prototyping and developing new projects for social change.
As part of our mission, we help other co-ops to thrive and make better decisions.
We are co-founders of CoTech, the network of UK technology co-operatives that is increasing the depth and breadth of services available to clients striving for positive change.
A catalyst for impact
We established SPACE4 as a means to invest in our local community, democratic businesses, and social movements. We achieve this by providing affordable workspace, training and networking events, and leveraging our expertise in creating social value and impact.
