Richard joins Outlandish from a career in the BBC and NGOs.

A BBC Producer he commissioned £450,000 worth of interactive educational games based for BBC Bitesize, the BBC’s flagship educational resource, and managed the team of Assistant Producers and Researchers.

Following the BBC he was the humanitarian NGO CARE International UK‘s Digital Manager. Here he developed strategy, commissioned new websites and ran their daily management, performance tracking, and online campaigns.

He’s also proud to have worked with the Disasters Emergency Committee (DEC) during three international appeals, managing their social team and content flow as their social media production lead.

When he’s feeling particularly wordy, he writes about UX and tech at paavo.co.

As well as sector knowledge he brings a passion for UX, a Google Analytics certification, knowledge of how to optimise user journeys for conversions, plus lived experience of the realities of running content-driven sites.
