Matt has at various times in the last 6 years: been a neuroscientist at an internationally renowned university, been the chief scientist at a tidal energy startup, written research on community energy for think tanks, been an advisor to a youth workers co-op, and been in charge of a social-housing focussed tech startup.

Most recently he has been working with Outlandish – he came into the fold through the Outlandish Fellowship in 2016, and has worked on projects like SchoolCuts and NOW: Pensions, and organised workshops and events like Tech for Good?

He believes that equitable, humane and stable organisations require both a fair, balanced structure as a starting point, and an open, embracing culture that values process as well as outcomes.
